Director of fanmade Kids music video Jon Salmon writes: “I couldn’t find much from the night of the [Kids] shoot itself. To be honest, I was rushing and we were all stressed to finish it as it was getting late when we started. I was shooting in tiny front yard at USC and had to wait for the sun to set so the background would be dark. I had only texted Abby and Raf maybe two hours before we shot to see if they wanted to be in it, after my girlfriend at the time said she didn’t want to be on-camera. We spent an hour doing each of their makeup, where I had pulled references from Bergman films for Abby and Kiss for Raf. We only shot for a few hours, first Raf then Abby. Then I stayed up all night editing it for a class the following day – where apparently they still show the video to this day! When we got invited to be part of the Electric Feel shoot, a lot more pics were taken. Abby and Raf in-costume on-set, and me getting to meet with the band and show them the video for the first time. It was a pretty magical and surreal experience, and I’m so happy with the life the video has had.” Credit to Jon Salmon for the photos and story
