Andrew with a fan in Portland, Maine, 2013

“Andrew came out last, when only us and 10 others were waiting still and we were about to give up and leave. He was so so humble and cute and ugh. _ I swear he looked me in the eyes for like 7.5 seconds and he was too beautiful to be real. He came out carrying a ginger root, and when I asked him if it was ginger he was holding he said I could hold it for him…never really explaining why he even had it….but anyways I asked him to get a picture with me and the ginger and he said he would if he could hold its neck…so I guess he’s holding its neck here. He let me keep it, saying that “its natural from the earth” and I literally don’t know what to do with it! I thought it might have been a dream until this morning I woke up with the ginger beside me. What do I do with the ginger?!”

Fan photos/story from Mexico/Hellow Fest, 2014

“This weekend i went to see MGMT at festival here in Monterrey Mexico called Hellow Festival, i saw them on first row and it was amazing, after the concert ended, I and 2 more friends went to look for them in backstage, we couldn´t see them all but we saw Andrew Vanwyngarden, we talk a few minutes about their songs and next concerts they will offer in Mexico, he drew very original things in our arms , bags , and even on my payroll, he was so kind and humble, i saw them for the first time on 2008 and i hadn’t had the chance to see them again, but i feel that 6 years waiting for this, totally worth it, i just hope not to wait so long to see them again. One of my best days of my life :)”
